How the numbers work

Bonus = deposit × match, capped at the maximum.

Total wagering = (bonus, or deposit plus bonus) × the wagering multiple.

Bets needed = total wagering ÷ game contribution. At 50% contribution a player has to bet twice as much.

Expected cost = bets needed × (100% − RTP). Expected value = bonus − expected cost. A negative value means that, on average, the wagering costs more than the bonus is worth.

Writing it on the page

Put the wagering next to the offer, not in the footer. In Sweden, the Consumer Agency's guidance expects bonus terms such as wagering to be visible at first glance; Bild prints this key terms line under the button by default. Sweden also limits bonuses to a player's first gaming occasion. See the Sweden guide.

FAQ

About wagering.

What is a wagering requirement?

The amount a player has to bet before bonus money can be withdrawn, written as a multiple. A 100 euro bonus with 35x wagering on the bonus means 3,500 euros of bets.

What does game contribution mean?

The share of each bet that counts towards wagering. If slots count 100% and table games 10%, a 10 euro roulette bet counts as 1 euro.

How is the expected cost worked out?

Total bets needed times the house edge, where the house edge is 100% minus the games' return to player. At 96% RTP, every 100 euros bet costs 4 euros on average. It is an average, not a prediction for one player.

Does the calculator store anything?

No. It runs in your browser. Nothing is sent or saved.
